When I was looking through the new Vera Wang dress collection for David’s Bridal, I couldn’t help but notice the fabulous accessories available as well.  Here are a few of them that I thought you might like:

Crystal Headband: $98

Crystal Comb: $128

Floral Sash: $78

Crystal Sash: $148

Satin Pump: $58

Glitter Peep Toe: $78

Overall, I found the accessories from White by Vera Wang to be very current and somewhat reasonably priced (other than the hair accessories).  The biggest problem is the number of options is very limited and leaves me feeling like every bride will be choosing the same things.  Hopefully, as time goes on, the accessory line will grow and become a little more unique.  Happy Thursday!

A sweet friend of mine is getting married, and she is trying to figure out her color scheme.  She knows she wants the classic red flowers, but she is open to other accent colors.  One of my favorite color combos is Tiffany blue and red.  It is a modern take on the gorgeous red flowers that everyone enjoys.  I<3 Tiffany blue!  It makes me think of those fabulous little boxes and the stunning things that are inside those boxes (my hubby spoils me).  🙂

Here is the inspiration board that I came up with:

Red roses and blue bird flowers, blue dresses and red balloons, red carnations, 3 piece centerpiece, red and blue table-scape, red peep toe, invitation, ballroom set-up, cake, candy station, red soda, blue candy, red dress

Hello my wonderful blog readers!  I am so sorry that I have not posted yet this week.  I was hoping to on Monday or yesterday, but I had to get a tooth extracted.  They gave me some crazy pain-killers that knocked me out all of Monday evening and made me feel like crud most of Tuesday.  Then my power went out during a crazy storm that rolled through our area.  We went to the in-law’s house (who had power…yay!) last night, but I forgot to bring my computer.  Fail.  Sorry.

Any who, my mouth is still hurting but I refuse to take anything but ibuprofen.  My husband thinks that I am stubborn, but me and prescribed medicine are in a fight and I am going to win.

Who’s ready for the long weekend?  I AM!  I am hoping to have a patriotic wedding board up by Friday.  I heart summer and memorial day and picnics and cookouts and my pool opening.  ❤

Ok, so I did a little Etsy searching today and found this little gem by Amanda Archer…

Love it!!  It comes in all sorts of colors, but I am loving the navy for summer.  Paired with white flowers, red ribbon, and some cute wedge sandals like these from DSW:

Perfect for attending a wedding or for your bridesmaids!

PS – Happy 27th Birthday to my wonderful friend (and Maid of Honor) of 23 years, Sarah!  Love and miss you so very much!  Wish I could take you out for lunch and pedicures to celebrate today!  So thankful for you and our talk this early this morning.  Hope you enjoyed the awesome message that I left you. 🙂

I think that every bouquet should match the bride’s shoes.  I love, love, love this.  Those shoes are killer.  Plus…that bouquet is an amazing!  If only every bouquet mixed of color and texture like this one.

Last week I posted a fairly new color scheme inspiration board that is becoming fairly popular in homes and weddings alike: gray and yellow.  It truly has a modern feel and flair without being too edge-y, if you know what I mean.

Today, I’d like to take a look at another color palette also featuring the color gray to show what a difference one color can make.  Substituting the bright yellow for a pink hue changes the look from modern to romantic and from playful to soft.  What do you think?

Here are the links to where I found the images:

3 pics with peonies and candles; bridal party with umbrellas, long table with gray runner, and groom in vest; shoes (upper right corner); white cake; gray cake; drink with striped straw; gray suits with pink ties, flower girl & ring bearer, wedding dress with gray ribbon, gray table with pink sash, pink hydrangea invite, monogram

Can I just start by saying this weather is crazy!  I have been wearing my jacket all morning inside of my office.  Ridiculous-ness!

Now that I have shared this information with you, I can move on.  I have a new found love of gray color schemes.  I know that it sounds dull and boring, but gray acts like any other neutral mixed with a vivid color.  Today I am focusing on gray and yellow.  Gray provides a stunning backdrop for bright yellow.  Take a look at this inspiration board that I created!

Here are the places that I found all of these images: candy bar; balloons & bridesmaid dresses; groom’s suit; invitation; lemon centerpieces; guys’ shoes, lanterns, cupcakes, and photo booth; gray table cloth & yellow napkins; pinwheel place cards; yellow pomander; bridesmaid bouquet (bottom left); flower girl dress; boutonniere; and the flower arrangement (bottom right).

Happy Tuesday!

So I know that monogrammed shoes could be totally tacky, but hear me out.  If you are getting married in the spring/summer or on a fabulous beach somewhere, these shoes would be fabulous for you.  They are super cute and comfy, and you can wear them for years to come.  Plus they can be the first item of clothing that you wear with your new initials!  They are from Jack Rogers.  I know that they are a little pricey, but if you can wear them for more than just your wedding day, they are totally worth it.
