One of my favorite topics of all time: Flowers!  They can really set the mood for your wedding ceremony, reception or shower.  Normally, I don’t recommend for brides on a budget to spend a lot of money on ceremony decor. When it comes down to nickles and dimes, I really feel like people should spend their money on bouquets and reception decor.  After all,  the bride and groom are supposed to be the center of attention at the ceremony.  If, however, you are getting married outside and are in need of something to mark the spot of your ceremony, feast your eyes on this…

Can you say gorgeous!  It is such a romantic look.  While this example is super expensive, there are ways to do this on a budget.  Set up an appointment with your local rental company (or your florist) to see what kinds of tents/gazebos/arches they have to offer.  Purchase fabric from the fabric district of your city (Philly has a fab fabric district) or from your local Jo Ann’s (hello online coupons and lots of sales).  Your fabric could be light and airy or heavy and saturated in color.  Whatever goes with your wedding!  If you want to finish out the edges, you can, but you certainly do not have to.  If you are on a strict budget stick to lower price blooms like carnations, spider mums and a few roses.  If you have some money to play with, think hydrangeas, peonies and lots of roses.  Your florist can help you make it look dreamy!

If your reception is outside in the same spot as your ceremony, this could easily be transformed into the sweet-heart table location or the special spot for your cake to be displayed.  Really, the style can be mimicked all over your ceremony and reception with beautiful draped fabric and romantic flowers.
